The Continuum of Care we've established at Diamond Headache Clinic would not be complete without Saint Joseph Hospital. 

Founded in 1868 along the scenic shoreline of Lake Michigan, this hospital has an incredible legacy of excellence in treatment. Its physicians and staff, including the hand-selected team at our Diamond Inpatient Headache Unit, receive countless awards every year for advancing medical care. The entire hospital received a five-star rating by the independent health-care-ratings company, HealthGrades®, and a top, nine-star rating in the 2009 Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois Blue Star Report. 

Like its bariatric, cancer, stroke and heart centers, Saint Joseph Hospital established our Diamond Inpatient Headache Unit as a treatment destination for acute headache sufferers. The 37-bed unit offers the benefits of early intervention, as well as one-on-one interaction with a team of headache specialists.

Every medical staff member on the Diamond Inpatient Headache Unit works only on Diamond Headache Clinic patients. That means the pharmacist, physical and recreational therapist, dietitian, biofeedback technicians and nurses are focused only on the care of each patient under our treatment.

Saint Joseph Hospital worked hand-in-hand with our team to design every nuance of the Diamond Inpatient Headache Unit around a headache patients' needs. The lighting is lower. The wall colors are warmer. The artwork and décor are underwhelming. It reflects a true understanding of what it's like to experience a severe headache condition.

While family and caregivers are not allowed to stay overnight at the Diamond Inpatient Headache Unit, the hospital's convenient location provides easy access to nearby hotels, restaurants and other hospitality and transportation needs.
